The New York Post and DNAInfo are reporting that a man called Alex Kovner broke into Imagine Daycare in Brooklyn Heights two days in a row earlier in May.
According to an email from the center’s director to parents at Imagine, the intruder entered the center only once through a church entrance on Friday, May 13th and details in the article of the New York Post were “sensationalized”. When the incident occurred, the Imagine safety protocols were put into effect, the classrooms locked down, 911 was called and the intruder was arrested. The Brooklyn Heights center is currently enhancing security measures, as the intruder entered through a shared space with the church in which the center is housed.
