Free October events for families in our neighborhood

Kids book reading/ Brooklyn Heights 10/15: Book Reading and signing with Children’s Author Reea Rodney at the 55 Poplar Street Garden on October 15th, 10am-12pm & 12pm-2pm. Juniper and Rose are twin sisters learning about acceptance, diversity, teamwork and more. For ages up to 8 years. Snacks and refreshments will be served. AltSchool Maker Day / Brooklyn Heights 10/22: Join AltSchool for a fun-filled day of interactive workshops designed for parents and students to learn together as designers and inventors. You’ll be able to participate in activities created by Chess at Three and Sew Green Fashion Camp! Students (and parents) of all ages are welcome to attend. Harvest Festival / Brooklyn Bridge Park 10/29: Come celebrate the fall season at the annual Harvest Festival and explore new parkland with the opening of Pier 6! This year will be bigger than ever, with free, fun activities for the whole family. Enjoy pumpkin carving, arts and crafts, puppetry, games, and musical performances. Will take place on Saturday October 29th from 11 am to 2 pm.
