Goats have arrived at the sound deflecting Berm in Brooklyn Bridge Park

Brooklyn Bridge Park recently welcomed a herd of four Nubian goats that will clear the landscape at Pier 3 of weeds in an ecologically friendly way. The four brothers, named Horatio, Eyebrows, Minnie and Hector, will work along the berm at the Pier 3 Greenway Terrace for the next two months and then will return to the goat farm in New York where they came from.

The goats will be protected inside a fence and will be cared for by BBP staff during their stay. They have a shed for shelter, fresh water to drink, and tasty weeds to eat. The best spot to check them out with the kids is from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.
