Imagine in Brooklyn Heights is offering Universal Pre-K

Imagine Early Learning Center which was awarded Universal Pre-K in 2013 is one of the two schools in Brooklyn Heights that offer free universal Pre-K this fall. They will run one Pre-K class with 20 students and 3 teachers at their 50 Monroe Place location. Current students of the center will have priority to get into this free Pre-K program, however, they encourage you to do the following if you are interested: Tour the school, put your child on their wait list and put this center first on your public pre-k application through the website of the Department of Education. To schedule a tour, call the center 718-624-7520 between the hours of 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM. At that time you can add your child’s name to the wait list. There is a $25 non refundable wait list fee. You can apply until April 24. Here is the overview of free public and private Pre-K options in District 13.
