International book fair for children at PS 133 in Gowanus 3/24

PS 133 located at 610 Baltic Street in Gowanus is a public un-zoned “choice” elementary school that draws students from District 13 and District 15. The school offers French and Spanish Dual Language Programs. They follow the 50/50 model of instruction, where children receive 50% of instruction in English, and 50% of instruction in either French or Spanish.

The school is hosting a free and open to the public book fair with Spanish, French and English books for children on Saturday, March 24th from 11 am to 4 pm.

11 am – 4 pm: International book fair

12 – 2 pm: Poster party led by Double Daring Camp for Girls – children of all ages can create works of art and make signs for their mini-march!

2 – 3 pm: Children’s author reading and book-signing with acclaimed actor and author Sonia Manzano (known by many as the “Maria from Sesame Street). She will read for children ages 3 to 9.

3 – 3.30 pm: Children’s mini-march for kindness! Led by Sonia Manzano, parents and children will march around the block to celebrate kindness in all its forms.
