Family Food Fest | Downtown Brooklyn | March 4th

Family Food Fest for kids (and the parents that feed them) will take place at the Marriott at Brooklyn Bridge in Downtown Brooklyn on Sunday, March 4th. It is an interactive food experience for the whole family where you’ll be able to take hands on cooking classes, learn knife skills, take part in interactive food related activities and watch chef demos from authors and bloggers. Rubato Music School Open House | Downtown Brooklyn | March 4th

Come hear, see and try all kinds of instruments, meet the teachers and the music school director, and get a mini introductory lesson to find out which instrument you or your little ones like the most. Voice, violin, flute, saxophone, clarinet, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, drums… The free event will take place on Sunday March 4th 11am-1pm at 138 South Oxford Street Studio G in Brooklyn. Pop-up Shakespeare POWERHOUSE Arena | DUMBO | March 10th

Read about William Shakespeare’s plays, sonnets, and poems as you never have before in an entertaining pop-up book collaboration between the internationally known comedy troupe the Reduced Shakespeare Company and best-selling illustrator Jennie Maizels. Featuring five interactive spreads filled with dramatic pop-ups, fun foldouts, hilarious summaries, and fascinating commentaries, this is the perfect introduction to one of the world’s greatest playwrights and his enduring works. Ages 7-11. This free event will take place at Powerhouse Arena at the Archway in DUMBO on March 10th at 11 am.
