Kindergarten placements are up on the site of the Department of Education as of 4/14. Over 50 children zoned for PS 8 have been put on a wait list and offered alternate placements. PS 8 will only be running 5 Kindergarten classes in school year 2015/2016. Families, who have not put down other schools on their application that actually have space, have been offered alternate placements at PS 307 on York Street in Vinegar Hill.
Read more about the Magnet School PS 307. Families can tour PS 307 Thursday mornings at 10 am on April 30th and throughout May. They are also hosting an Open House for any interested parents on Saturday, April 18th @ 11 am.
In order to accept your kindergarten offer, you must contact the school directly to make an appointment to pre-register by May 6.
