33 new Dual Language programs will be available for pre-kindergarten students next fall in New York City. In Dual Language programs, classes are evenly comprised of children who do not speak English at home and English-proficient students, and instruction is held in two languages. Students in Dual Language programs are taught to be bilingual and biliterate, and they are provided the opportunity to continue in Dual Language classrooms in kindergarten and beyond. Next fall’s expansion will more than double the number of existing Pre-K Dual Language programs in the City (from 30 to 63).
Here are the dual language programs in our neighborhood which are all Spanish with one new Chinese program:

- The Little Brooklyn Pre-K Center at 173-177 25 Street – Spanish, Chinese (New)
- P.S. 38 The Pacific – Spanish (New)
