Seth Phillips, PS 8 principal of 14 years and MS 8 principal of over 4 years has resigned and will leave the school at the end of this school year. Starting in July, he will be Assistant Head of School at Brooklyn Friends in Downtown Brooklyn with primary responsibility for leadership and oversight of the school’s non-academic, non-financial departments. Central to Seth Phillips mission at Brooklyn Friends, a gradate of Brooklyn Friends School and current parent, will be to promote greater diversity and inclusion within Brooklyn Friends.
The District 13 Superintendant Barbara Freeman will appoint a new PS8/MS8 principal during the next few months. Stay tuned!
