The South Brooklyn Ferry route launching June 1 will connect Bay Ridge, Brooklyn Army Terminal, Red Hook, Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6 and Pier 1, and Wall Street. A trip from Pier 6 to Wall Street is estimated to be 14 minutes. The ferry will arrive every 20 to 25 minutes during peak travel times.

Tickets for the new ferry system will cost as much as a subway or bus ride which is now $2.75 – coming down from $4 on weekdays and $6 on weekends. The $2.75 one-way fare will not offer free transfers to the MTA subways or buses.
