Swim lessons for 2-8 year olds at the Pier 2 pop-up pool

The pop-up pool in Brooklyn Bridge Park will open on June 29th. Swimmers of all ages and levels are welcome to enter daily for 45-minute free session blocks from 10 am to 6 pm. More information here.

Starting Monday July 10th, swim lessons for 2 to 8 year old children will be available at the pop-up pool in the mornings. Each session lasts for two weeks and includes eight 30-minute classes, providing your little ones with a safe place to get comfortable in the water and work off endless summer-day energy. Classes are held Monday through Thursday. Fridays are reserved for rain dates, if needed.

Each two week session is $125.  For 2 to 4 year olds, parent or guardian must be in the pool with the child. For 5 years and up, parent or guardian must remain on site. Sign-up here.

There no commitments for keeping the existing pool open beyond Summer 2017, nor are there formal plans in place for a permanent pool in Brooklyn Bridge Park. There is a new petition to keep the Pop-Up Pool open until there is a specific plan in place for a more permanent pool. Find out more and sign the petition here.
