Brooklyn Bridge Park has announced the temporary closure of the small section of the Park directly below the Manhattan Bridge as a result of isolated incidents of materials falling from the bridge.
The area is bordered by Plymouth Street and the East River, and includes a dog run, climbing wall, and park paths. In order to limit the length of closure, they will begin construction of a temporary overhead structure (scaffolding). They anticipate this work will be completed in April, at which point this portion of the park will be reopened.
