Watch the movie “God Bless the Child” in DUMBO starting 8/7

A weeklong theatrical film premiere, with a panel focused on balancing filmmaking and parenting will take place at DUMBO’s New York Media Center at 30 John Street.

“God Bless the Child” is a film that centers on five siblings, ranging from one to thirteen years old, who spend a day on their own, uncertain whether this time their depressed and unreliable mother is really gone for good. Harper, the eldest and the only girl, looks after her brothers as she always does, as their desceneds in fantasy and chaos. Set in Davis, California.

Starting Friday, August 7th, through IFP’s Screen Forward, “God Bless the Child” will be screening for a week at the Made in NY Media Center by IFP in DUMBO. In conjunction with each screening, there will be panels and special Q&A’s including a panel on balancing filmmaking in parenting on Sunday, August 9th.
