DUMBO mom teaches classes how to embroider and applique at West Elm Market

Katie and Emily of the blog “Life is Made” – one of them a DUMBO mom – will be teaching Saturday morning classes in September at West Elm Market.

How to Embroider – 9/7 – 10.30 am – 12 pm – $45                                                                Katie and Emily will teach you how to make a personalized embroidered tea towel.  We will be learning how to transfer a drawing to cloth and use two embroidery stitches to create one-of-a-kind tea towels with outlined figures and monogramming.  No prior embroidery experience necessary.  Katie and Emily will walk you through every step.

How to Appliquee – 9/14 – 10.30 am – 12 pm – $50                                                               Katie and Emily will teach you how to make a chevron designed appliqued canvas bag. We will be using metallic fabrics, fusible webbing and embroidery floss to create a one-of-a-kind canvas bag.   No prior sewing experience necessary- Katie and Emily will walk you through every step.
