SUMMARY:Art Under the Bridge: Make Your Own Lay-Flat Book
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to make your own hand-bound books with educators, as part of Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Art Under the Bridge series. Participants will make collage covers using preserved leaves and then learn to bind our books with a coptic stitch that allows them to lay flat, perfect for sketching or journaling. No previous experience necessary. The workshop requires some manual dexterity to thread and pull a sewing needle through cardboard. Participants will be using sharp tools, and all participants will need to sign a legal waiver. Ages 13 and up. Sign up on website.
