Family-friendly amenities coming to Gowanus

Within the next few months, an indoor soccer studio, a swim school, a gymnastics center and a 20,000 sq ft brewery are coming to Gowanus.

Force Soccer Studios will open a soccer studio at 483 Baltic between Nevins and Bond Street. They will offer soccer training starting at 2 years old, girls only soccer, goalkeeping classes, camps and birthday parties. Their grand opening will take place on September 15, find out more here.

Gotham Gymnastics is opening a 14,000SF facility offering recreational classes for kids walking to 18 years old for all levels – for the kid just looking to blow off steam to budding Olympians. They also host birthday parties. Opening August 2019 at 315 Douglass Street between 3rd and 4th Avenue with classes starting September 30th. Find out more here.

Goldfish Swim School will open this Winter at 620 Degraw Street between 3rd and 4th Avenue for ages 4 months and up. They promise a shiver-free pool heated to 90 degrees, max 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio, air-conditioned viewing galleries equipped with free Wi-Fi and free make-up lessons. The pool will be 25yard/75ft. 30-minute group lessons cost $128 per month. Find out more here.

Sixpoint Brewery will build a brewery and taproom at the corner of Ninth Street and Second Avenue. The 20,000 sq ft facility which will open in Spring 2020 will also feature a beer garden and a year-round roof top bar.
