Live at the Archway @ DUMBO | Every Thursday

Free, family-friendly performances, dance classes and interactive visual art will take place during Live at the Archway under the Manhattan Bridge concerts on Thursdays at 6 p.m. until September 20.

Mark Morris Dance Center Open House @ Downtown Bklyn | 9/8

Celebrate The School at the Mark Morris Dance Center Open House 2018. Sample children and teen dance, music, and world dance classes and see performances by Mark Morris Dance Group company members, teens from Student Company II and Arts Immersion, and faculty. Saturday, September 8th from 9 am to 3 pm.

Photoville @ DUMBO | 9/13-9/23

Photoville will present work by more than 600 artists in 90 photography exhibitions and outdoor installations. NYC’s premier photo destination built from re-purposed shipping containers returns to Pier 1 in Brooklyn Bridge Park from September 13 to 16 and 20 to 23. It will be open to the public— dogs included—free of charge.

Brooklyn Book Festival Children’s Day @ Downtown Bklyn | 9/15

Brooklyn Book Festival Children’s Day is Saturday, September 15 which will feature kids book making, workshops, a Drag Queen Story Hour, story times, and a Literary Marketplace just for kids as part of the day’s celebration of childhood reading. Events take place at MetroTech Commons all day from 10 am to 4 pm. All details here.

Brooklyn Americana Music Festival @ Brooklyn waterfront | 9/20 – 23 

Brooklyn Americana Music Festival comprises fifty free shows at nine locations along the Brooklyn waterfront. FREE kid-friendly day time shows for all ages in The Archway Under the Manhattan Bridge in DUMBO and Brooklyn Bridge Park. Find out more here.

Carroll Park Fair @ Carroll Gardens | 9/22

Face painting, shopping, live music, food and more at Carroll Park’s annual fair on Saturday, September 22nd starting at 10 am.

Atlantic Antic @ Atlantic Avenue | 9/23:

This year’s Atlantic Antic Street Festival will be held on Sunday, September 23 from 12pm to 6pm, rain or shine, along Atlantic Avenue from Hicks Street to Fourth Avenue including a kids zone with bouncy castle, rides and more.

Washington Street Block Party “The Great DUMBO Drop” @ DUMBO | 9/28:

The DUMBO BID hosts its second annual block party on Washington Street on Friday, September 28 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The cornerstone event of the evening is The Great #DUMBODrop, which sends thousands of toy elephants descending on the streets of DUMBO at 6:00 p.m. Funds raised from the DUMBO Drop will support DUMBO’s local Title I Public STEAM Schools PS307 Elementary School and the Dock Street Middle School. Elephants can be purchased by visiting https://dumbo.is/dropping-elephants.

Future of Fashion Family Day @ Navy Yard | 9/29

Join the Yard for an afternoon celebrating Brooklyn fashion! Families will have the opportunity to design and create different accessories and fashion items!Future Saturdays is geared toward residents with children ages 5 – 15. Saturday 9/29, find out more here.

Autumn Festival @ Brooklyn Bridge Park | 9/30

Come celebrate Chinese and Korean culture during one of the largest holidays celebrated in Asia. Autumn Festival will include cultural performances of dancing, singing, martial arts, magic and more. It will take place at Pier 1 on September 30th from 12 to 5 pm. More information here.
