Free Summer Camp Guide 2020 with virtual and in-person options

Day camps in New York state including day camps in the City will be allowed to open June 29th, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced. The new day camp guidelines include limiting group sizes to 10 while keeping the same 10 people exclusively together; requiring adults to wear face masks whenever they’re within six feet of others; temperature checks; frequent hand washing; disinfecting of equipment; and a protocol if someone tests positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus. Local camp organizations have taken different paths: Some will only offer virtual sessions, some both, some only in-person sessions, some have cancelled all together and some have not decided yet. Our comprehensive summer camp guide profiles over 50 local summer camps in Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO, Downtown Brooklyn, Gowanus, BoCoCa, Prospect Park and beyond! We have listed program details, age groups, dates, hours, costs and contact information for each camp for children 2 years to 18 years old. The guide includes arts, Bey Blade building, dance, gaming, gymnastics, Harry Potter, theater, soccer, STEM, textile and virtual reality camps.

Daring Girls: Digital Adventures in Mythology (Corona update done)

Program: A Note for our Daring Girls: This program was designed for all our campers across all summer camps, from Camp Half-Blood to Camp Jupiter to Daring Girls Camp. Daring Girls campers will have the option to select an all Daring Girls Group for parts of the experiences below. Heroes at home does not have to mean heroes alone. And just because the mortal world slows down doesn’t mean the monsters do. In fact, we believe some of our mythological foes could be taking advantage of our isolation to sow chaos and seize power, knowing we Demigods are stronger when we work together. We can’t let that happen: we need your help to come together to Train, Play, and Quest like legendary heroes, the only way we know. To that end, we have developed a variety of virtual experiences designed to keep our swords and minds sharp, all while having an Argo-load of fun

Heights Falafel, on Henry St, re-opened yesterday. Take-out and delivery only. The owner doesn’t know how to let people know, so I told him I would try to spread the word. So, here I am.

    1. Steven Shaffer

Does anybody know what happened to The Row House gym at 55 Prospect Street? When did it close and why? Can you call or text me at 619-889-8400 please? Thank you.

    2. Eliz Demaray

Wonderful! I love Heights Falafel. Thier lentil soup is phenomenal. Do you know if the “Brooklyn Only” sandwich shop is also open. I know that they own that place as well.

  2. Zeridah Blunt

Hi my name is Zeridah Blunt and I’m also a descendant of Rem Jansen Van Der Beeck. I think this means we are cousins. My grandmother was Bertha Remsen and we are related down the same family tree it seems. I was born and raised in Brooklyn NY and lived across the street from the cemetery that he’s buried in when I was a kid. I would love to talk to you about this and hopefully get some more information from you about our family tree.

so happy because there are these kinds of great authors on the internet.
I know, that people have own favourites, and mine had been, but right now I don’t even know how
to decide on the most effective one. Keep writing
because you’ve already found your passionate reader!

  5. Cooper Aaliyah

Thank you for a rare possibility to read a genuinely well-researched material.
We don’t often come across such articles. The last one was possibly the one at And the
