Program: Aegir Boardworks offers skate camps for kids 4 and up at Brooklyn’s Golconda Park, aka “Fat Kid”. Our team of skate instructors are all local skaters that are passionate about teaching kids and adults how to skate. Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s DNA Learning Center (DNALC) invented summer DNA camps, and we are pleased to announce that THIS SUMMER we are back in the business of hands-on science! In 2021, we invite students entering grades 6–12 to be among the very first to attend weeklong camps at the DNALC NYC – our brand new 17,500 square foot facility in downtown Brooklyn. Program: LEARN TO PLAY SOCCER THE FRENCH WAY! The French Football Academy is offering soccer camps all summer! Campers will learn the French methodology that is being taught in the travel teams while learning the values of team sports. Hebrew language immersion is a fundamental component of the camp curriculum, and is reinforced in fun and engaging activities led by experienced, native-Israeli staff members and fluent Hebrew speakers. Campers will learn the language through music, interactive games, reading, drama, storytelling and other activities. Through staff-led activities, campers will increase their self-esteem and confidence in their ability to speak Hebrew.
Campers receive 4-8 hours of weekly sports instruction. These classes will all follow a proven methodology based upon skill acquisition through progression. Each class will focus on a different specific skill, which will be worked on throughout the class, culminating in a small-sided scrimmage.

Program: Summer camp at The Yard on Governors Island is back! This year we will offer 11 weeks of camp following our 2020 protocols (small groups with 15 kids max per group, 2 groups of campers per week, 25 kids total). Camp at The Yard allows children more time to spend their days being physically active, gaining resiliency and unplugging from technology. Program: Camp Half-Blood is a fully-immersive camp experience designed for children in 1st to 6th grade. On their journey toward becoming legends, campers (AKA Demigods) learn sword-training, armor forging, myth-crafting, storytelling and more–all with the goal of unleashing the hero inside them. At Camp Half-Blood heroes are made every week. Under the keen guidance of our counselors and directors, campers are led through activities, games, and crafts that are inspired by stories of the ancients. Heroes from Mythology around the world inspire the next generation, with a blend of storytelling and swordplay, to help them discover what type of hero they will become. Every camper will put these skills to the test when they venture out on their Quest of the week, and face the monsters who threaten the camp.

Camp Léman | Lower Manhattan
Program: Léman Manhattan Preparatory School has successfully provided students from 2 years old through 12 grade with in-person learning this school year, and we are planning to offer in-person Camp Léman for entering PK3-5th graders this summer. Sports, swimming, arts, movement, science, and many other activities will be offered in small groups with a variety of protocols in place to best ensure a safe summer experience for our campers and staff. KoKo NYC Soap Box Workshop | South Slope
Program: The Soap Box Workshop encourages children to think outside the box. Children plan their inventions using sketches and calculations, bringing them to life with found and recycled objects as well as building materials. Over the course of the workshop, participants turn piles of seemingly useless trash into functional machines while learning about construction and design and, more importantly, having fun. Program details: Splat Camp is a magical experience for brainy and creative kids who like to work on hands-on projects. In the mornings, campers participate in our original Splat Lab and Anthropology Arts curriculum. Splat lab blends art, creativity, play, and STEAM. We make slime, cloud clay, and build our own mazes. In Anthropology we learn about cool things like Greek and Roman myths, Japanese monsters, and Aztec shields and create our own version of these amazing artifacts. In the afternoon we play in local parks and have awesome group game activities. New this year is the addition of a Pre_K option and more afternoon activity options. The Art of Words Community School (TAWCS) Summer Camp | DUMBO
Program: TAWCS is in its third year of Summer Camp and in previous years, we have visited museums, built birdhouses, and played soccer (daily) in the park. This year will be like our previous years, with a little bit of social distancing and mask-wearing, but will surely have just as much fun as we have had in years past. We are just a few blocks from Brooklyn Bridge Park where we will be having numerous outdoor activities, and our indoor location will be our daily meeting place and art center. We will be having a series of enrichment classes in art in the morning after outdoor time, while the afternoon will be filled with outdoor play, local field trips, and gardening.
