Aegir Skate Camps | Downtown Brooklyn

Program: Aegir Boardworks offers skate camps for kids 4 and up at Brooklyn’s Golconda Park, aka “Fat Kid”. Our team of skate instructors are all local skaters that are passionate about teaching kids and adults how to skate. We offer half and full day skate camps for students on school break; a half-day skate from 9am to 12pm, a full day skate from 9am to 4pm, and a skate and art program offering skate camp from 9am to 12pm and art class from 1pm to 4pm with DUMBO’s own Creatively Wild Art Studio.

Building Bridges Preschool Summer Camp | Brooklyn Heights

Program: Building Bridges Preschool is offering a FUN and EXCITING Summer Camp Program in 2021.Our classes are held in our cheerful classrooms while also utilizing our enclosed outdoor garden and play area. For more outdoor activities we visit Cadman Plaza Park directly across the street. Campers will learn about ocean life and water fun, blast off into our vast universe, transform into amazing superheroes, and animals living throughout our extensive planet. Brooklyn Museum Summer Camp | Prospect Heights

Program: We welcome young artists to the adventure of art camp! Inspired by our exhibitions and collections, campers will have fun engaging with art, while interacting with other campers, discovering artists, working with different mediums, trying out new techniques, and more. After five days of art-making, campers close out the week by sharing their creations in Friday’s Open Studio.

Brooklyn Preschool of Science Summer Program | Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill and Park Slope

Program: A Brooklyn Preschool of Science summer is like no other experience. All thematic weeks are full of enriching activities that connect inquiry, discovery and curiosity. The BPOS summer was created to build children’s self-confidence and have them a fun summer learning experience. It is a place where the zoo meets the museum and the laboratory. Like Ocean’s Blue, Don’t Bug Me, thematic sessions to Roar Roar Dinosaur will guarantee that campers are never bored and always actively learning. Program: We are a nontraditional camp, perfect for campers who want to experience all aspects of the camp day, including activities such as recreational sports, arts and crafts, music, dance, drama, fitness fun, and of course, swimming. Campers learn valuable health and nutrition habits, as well as leadership and team-building skills. We strive to impact each child, so an intimate setting of 40 campers separated by age groups help us focus on that goal.

Child’s Play NY summer camp | Fort Greene, Brooklyn Heights & Carroll Gardens

Program: Heroes and quests are the name of the game for in-person camps with Child’s Play NY. Budding thespians of all levels get to flex their imaginative muscles, practice their bravery, and learn sophisticated theater techniques in this award-winning drama camp. Vibrant teaching artists infuse joy into the sessions while the curriculum inspires kids to grow their skills.  These sessions help kids work collaboratively, creatively and with confidence. The program prioritizes safety with rigorous safety protocols, plenty of outside activities and small groups. Each session culminates in a movie that showcases the original stories, scenes, music videos, and fantastic characters campers create. DNA Learning Center NYC | Downtown Brooklyn

Program:  Are your kids ready to get hands-on with real science again? Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s DNA Learning Center (DNALC) invented summer DNA camps, and we are pleased to announce that THIS SUMMER we are back in the business of hands-on science!  In 2021, we invite students entering grades 6–12 to be among the very first to attend weeklong camps at the DNALC NYCour brand new 17,500 square foot facility in downtown Brooklyn. Guided by experienced instructors, campers will use sophisticated laboratory and computer equipment to perform experiments several grade levels ahead of their peers. FFF Soccer Camp | Brooklyn Bridge Park

Program: LEARN TO PLAY SOCCER THE FRENCH WAY! The French Football Academy is offering soccer camps all summer! Campers will learn the French methodology that is being taught in the travel teams while learning the values of team sports. Generally speaking, in the morning your kids will be led through drills and small-sided games for the topic of that specific day, whether it be passing, dribbling, shooting etc. Then after lunch, each group is put into a larger game scenario where the coaches see if the players can implement what they learned in the morning.

Program: The JCC Brooklyn Day Camp is a wonderful summer camp, located at the Fort Hamilton Army Base: a beautiful outdoor facility: 177-acre, country-like campus in Bay Ridge! This wonderful camp is for kids ages 4 to 14 and equipped with a highly trained, talented staff and small groups to allow individualized attention. *Hebrew Dual Language Camp*

Hebrew language immersion is a fundamental component of the camp curriculum, and is reinforced in fun and engaging activities led by experienced, native-Israeli staff members and fluent Hebrew speakers. Campers will learn the language through music, interactive games, reading, drama, storytelling and other activities. Through staff-led activities, campers will increase their self-esteem and confidence in their ability to speak Hebrew.

*Sports Camp*

Campers receive 4-8 hours of weekly sports instruction. These classes will all follow a proven methodology based upon skill acquisition through progression. Each class will focus on a different specific skill, which will be worked on throughout the class, culminating in a small-sided scrimmage.

Program: Summer camp at The Yard on Governors Island is back! This year we will offer 11 weeks of camp following our 2020 protocols (small groups with 15 kids max per group, 2 groups of campers per week, 25 kids total). Camp at The Yard allows children more time to spend their days being physically active, gaining resiliency and unplugging from technology. Campers have the chance to work with tools, practice using new materials and techniques, spend time with handcrafting materials, and focus on concentrated exploration through activities such as digging and water play. Our camp sessions are unique in that campers make their own decisions about how to spend their time, supported by our trained playworkers.

SKATEYOGI Summer Camp | Golconda Skatepark

Program: Discover the joy of skateboarding! SKATEYOGI welcomes anyone from absolute beginners to experienced skaters in a fun, creative environment. Program: In our weekly summer sessions, students will be immersed in French through play, art, music, storytelling, and science experiments. The objective is to have as much fun as possible while absorbing new vocabulary and concepts and exploring new forms of creative expression. Program: Sprout Brooklyn is a Hebrew dual-language camp for children entering pre-K-5th grade. Program: TFD Soccer is an elite soccer training program in Brooklyn with a holistic approach to training, development for players ages 5-13. Trail Blazers Brooklyn Bridge Park Day Camp

Program: Since 1887, Trail Blazers has been where children go outside to grow within. After a COVID-free Summer Day Camp in 2020 we are ready for Summer Camp 2021 with a brand new program! Trail Blazers Brooklyn Bridge Park Day Camp, in partnership with Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy is our newest camp program and registration is already open. Backpacks & Binoculars Summer Camp | Fort Greene & Prospect Park

Program details: World Explorers Group: Backpacks + Binoculars Summer Camp is an excursion based camp with the emphasis on exploration.  Our school aged camp (entering Kindergarten through fifth grade) goes on daily trips throughout New York City, exploring and discovering the city in the best way possible – as a kid! Camp Half Blood | Prospect Park

Program: Camp Half-Blood is a fully-immersive camp experience designed for children in 1st to 6th grade. On their journey toward becoming legends, campers (AKA Demigods) learn sword-training, armor forging, myth-crafting, storytelling and more–all with the goal of unleashing the hero inside them. At Camp Half-Blood heroes are made every week. Under the keen guidance of our counselors and directors, campers are led through activities, games, and crafts that are inspired by stories of the ancients. Heroes from Mythology around the world inspire the next generation, with a blend of storytelling and swordplay, to help them discover what type of hero they will become. Every camper will put these skills to the test when they venture out on their Quest of the week, and face the monsters who threaten the camp.

Camp Léman | Lower Manhattan

Program: Léman Manhattan Preparatory School has successfully provided students from 2 years old through 12 grade with in-person learning this school year, and we are planning to offer in-person Camp Léman for entering PK3-5th graders this summer.  Sports, swimming, arts, movement, science, and many other activities will be offered in small groups with a variety of protocols in place to best ensure a safe summer experience for our campers and staff.  Our spacious classrooms, rooftop playground, large gymnasium, indoor pool, and nearby parks will provide the ideal environment for campers to socialize and engage in safe programming together. Program: The Soap Box Workshop encourages children to think outside the box. Children plan their inventions using sketches and calculations, bringing them to life with found and recycled objects as well as building materials. Over the course of the workshop, participants turn piles of seemingly useless trash into functional machines while learning about construction and design and, more importantly, having fun. Leading up to the race, kids test drive their gravity racers, ensuring the safety and functionality of each invention. At the South Slope Derby, participants get to race their cars for real as friends, families, and neighbors cheer them on as they race down the street.

KoKo NYC  Destroy & Construct Camp | South Slope

Program: In this week-long camp specifically designed for ages 5-7 kids will have fun deconstructing and constructing. KoKo NYC teaching artists bring years of experience in self-directed, play-based learning to encourage kids to take healthy, managed risks and try new experiences while avoiding hazards. Program: Our campers spend the majority of their days out-of-doors.  We offer a variety of traditional camp activities like sports, drama, music, martial arts, archery, dance, and arts and crafts.  It’s no wonder parents tell us that their children come home dirty, tired, hungry and happy!  We are proud of the successful and COVID-19 free camp we ran last summer and look forward offering your children an amazing outdoor experience in 2021. Splat Camp | Downtown Brooklyn

Program details: Splat Camp is a magical experience for brainy and creative kids who like to work on hands-on projects. In the mornings, campers participate in our original Splat Lab and Anthropology Arts curriculum. Splat lab blends art, creativity, play, and STEAM. We make slime, cloud clay, and build our own mazes. In Anthropology we learn about cool things like Greek and Roman myths, Japanese monsters, and Aztec shields and create our own version of these amazing artifacts. In the afternoon we play in local parks and have awesome group game activities. New this year is the addition of a Pre_K option and more afternoon activity options. As soon as we launched our camp last year, campers would ask us “are you going to do this next year?!”

The Art of Words Community School (TAWCS) Summer Camp | DUMBO

Program: TAWCS is in its third year of Summer Camp and in previous years, we have visited museums, built birdhouses, and played soccer (daily) in the park. This year will be like our previous years, with a little bit of social distancing and mask-wearing, but will surely have just as much fun as we have had in years past. We are just a few blocks from Brooklyn Bridge Park where we will be having numerous outdoor activities, and our indoor location will be our daily meeting place and art center. We will be having a series of enrichment classes in art in the morning after outdoor time, while the afternoon will be filled with outdoor play, local field trips, and gardening. We are a project-based school so campers will work in small groups to create videos, plays, or write their own book to showcase their summer experience–a great way to record what they are doing daily at camp. We infuse art, music, and writing in all of our activities and encourage children to be creative at every opportunity. We are limiting our campers this year, so register early.

Program: Treebath Explorers is an entirely outdoors program for kids ages Pre-K to Second grade. During these drop-off classes, children reap the proven health benefits of nature while having fun!
