Movies with a View in Brooklyn Bridge Park returns with 4 showings on Thursdays in August at the Pier 1 Harbor View Lawn.

Smorgasburg will provide food and drinks all evening along the Pier 1 promenade, featuring a selection of NYC’s favorite food vendors. Beer and wine concessions will be available for purchase for adults 21 and over. Doors open and music starts at 6 pm. The film starts at sundown (generally around 8:30pm). The pre-movie lineup includes a DJ and a short film featuring local filmmakers curated by BAM Cinématek.

FAB Flicks Movies

FAB FULTON is bringing back the FAB Flicks movie series to help celebrate this season of being outside again. In partnership with BAM Film they are showing in two venues along Fulton Street: The “Back Lot” at Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center (650 Fulton) in Fort Greene, and Jitu Weusi (Putnam) Plaza (Grand + Fulton) in Clinton Hill. Doors open at 7:30pm; movie begins at dusk. A limited number of seats will be available via RSVP, however, you are welcome to bring your own lawn seating or a blanket. Summer Movies under the Stars in Prospect Park

The free series kicks off Thursday, July 29, and runs for four consecutive Thursdays through August 19. The month-long series lineup includes Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Goonies, Jumanji: The Next Level and Black Panther. The films will begin shortly after sundown at the north end of the Prospect Park Long Meadow, located nearest to the Grand Army Plaza entrance.

  • Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse July 29
    Brooklyn teenager Miles Morales suddenly develops mysterious powers after a radioactive spider bite. Miles transforms into Spider-Man, but there’s an interdimensional twist when he learns that he is not alone with his otherworldly gifts.
  • The Goonies August 5
    A group of young misfits discover an ancient map and set out on an adventure to find a legendary pirate’s long-lost treasure in this Richard Donner and Steven Spielberg classic.
  • Jumanji: The Next Level August 12
    The crew is back, but the game has changed. As they return to rescue one of their own, the Jumanji players will have to brave parts unknown from arid deserts to snowy mountains, to escape the world’s most dangerous game.
  • Black Panther August 19
    T’Challa, heir to the advanced yet hidden kingdom of Wakanda, must step forward to lead his people into a new future and must confront a challenger from the past.
