The back to school in-person reopening schedule has been further adjusted as communicated by the mayor on September 17th. In-person learning will begin for grades Kindergarten and up on Tuesday 9/29 and not Monday 9/21. Grades will be phased in as below:
- Monday, September 21st: 3k and Pre-K classrooms will be open, District 75 (special education) schools will also be open for in-person learning
- Tuesday, September 29th: K – 5th Grade and K – 8th Grade schools will open for in-person learning
- Thursday, October 1st: middle and high schools will open for in-person learning
- Remote learning will start for all students on Monday, September 21st
In the meantime, schools will be provided with more staff, time and material to get ready to open their school buildings.
