As a result of new school construction at PS 32 in Carroll Gardens, a rezoning for the school year 2020 – 2021 is under way for District 15. School rezonings serve multiple functions and this rezoning has the potential to relieve overcrowding and promote diversity within District 15. Any proposed rezoning changes would primarily impact incoming pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, or new students to the system beginning in 2020-2021. Below are upcoming meetings where community members can share their ideas, concerns and thoughts:
Monday, May 20: Rezoning Meeting at P.S. 32 @ 6:30pm: District planning presentation and discussion.
Wednesday, June 12: Community Meeting at P.S. 29 @ 5:30 pm: A chance for community members to ask questions and provide initial feedback that can inform the DOE’s planning. The Office of District Planning will be at this meeting to request public feedback regarding the rezoning of PS 32.
