Movie making camp for Grades 3 to 8 in DUMBO (sponsored)

AUTOMATIC STUDIOS is a technical moviemaking program designed for students 8 – 14 years old. Each workshop or camp experience gives kids the opportunity to be part of a creative team and experience working on a real movie set.  In their unique movie arts program, students learn the art of movie making through hands-on experience, active collaboration and teamwork. Students learn Scriptwriting, Preproduction Planning, On-Set Job Roles, Studio & Location Production Shooting and Editing.

All of the programs are taught and managed by experienced film industry professionals and conducted in a fully outfitted production studio and classrooms.  Students complete each camp week with a screening for friends and family at the studio at 52 Bridge Street in DUMBO.

Camp dates:  Session 1: June 18 – 22, Session 2: June 25 – 29, Session 3: July 9 – 13, Session 4: July 16 – 20, Session 5: July 23 – 27, Session 6: July 30 – August 3, Session 7: August 6 – 10, Session 8: August 13 – 17, Session 9: August 20 – 24. Master Class #1: July 9 – 20 (Alumni Only), Master Class #2: August 6 – 17 (Alumni Only)

Camp hours: 9am – 4pm

Camp costs: $700 per week.
