New camping on Governors Island

A new camping site is open on Governors Island offering “Glamping” for 2 to 4 people per tent with stunning Statue of Liberty views, sprawling green space, delicious food and nightly camp fire.

Collective Retreats will operate the camp site until October this year and for the next two summer seasons.

You can choose between a Summit Tent that fits up to 4 people (only option with kids) and comes with en suite bathroom with shower starting at $530 per night and a Journey tent for 2 people with shared bathroom starting at $230 per night.

Note: Bring mosquito spray and ear plugs. The party boats, Newark airport air traffic and helicopters can make the nights noisy!
