The Mayor announced the Open Restaurants program which currently includes over 9,000 participants in the city will return next summer. Outdoor dining (curbside and sidewalk) will return to Brooklyn on June 1, 2021, and run through October 31. The 2021 program will continue to be combined with Open Streets, which allows for restaurants in participating corridors to extend out farther away from the curb, with the remainder of the streets fully open to pedestrian traffic.
