Roberta Davenport, principal of PS 307 since 2003, has announced her retirement for June 30, 2015. The principal who grew up in the Farragut Houses across the street which make up the zone for the school has significantly transformed the school under her leadership. PS 307 has become a Magnet School for STEM studies, she and her team introduced Mandarin, an Autism Spectrum Program and much more! “The school will be in good hands, it is a well-thought through decision after 12 years” Miss Davenport told us. The superintendent of District 13 will nominate an intermediate principal, Miss Davenport expects this decision to be published within the next week or two.
