Real estate projects in Vinegar Hill, Cobble Hill & Downtown Brooklyn in the news

Cobble Hill is the #1 NYC neighborhood with the highest price increase in home prices in the last decade according to StreetEasy. Home prices have tripled since 2010. In 2010, the median home in Cobble Hill sold for $834,115. In 2019, the median recorded sales price in the area was $2,591,446, making it the fourth-most expensive neighborhood in all of NYC.

A developer plans to build a luxury rental building with 59 units at 251 Front Street in Vinegar Hill which is currently used as a truck parking lot. The building would be zoned for PS 307 in Vinegar Hill.

Construction nears topping out at 260 Gold Street, a new 13-story residential development in Downtown Brooklyn that will feature 286 units. The building will be zoned for PS 287 in Downtown Brooklyn.

New York Yimby has a construction update about the new office tower in Downtown Brooklyn One Willoughby Square. A six-story elementary school for 300 students will be built inside this new office building at 420 Albee Square West between Fulton and Willoughby streets. The elementary school for District 13 is scheduled to open in 2021. No details on the school’s zoning have been published.
