Science, Language and Arts International School leases building in Downtown Brooklyn

The Science, Language and Arts International School (SLA) has signed a 10-year lease earlier this month for 9 Hanover Place between Fulton and Livingston Streets in Downtown Brooklyn. This location will house Pre-K through 6th (eventually 8th).Their Carroll Gardens location (132 Fourth Place) houses early childhood ages 2 to 4.

Science, Language & Arts International School is an independent school focused on hands-on science, arts, and math and committed to providing children with a rich and rigorous multilingual education in French and Mandarin.

SLA previously shared space with the Brooklyn Music School at 126 St. Felix Street and will relocate to Downtown Brooklyn to have its own campus. Since SLA, which currently has around 150 students, isn’t large enough to fill the entire space yet, it subleased one floor to the International Charter School of New York (ICS) for two years. ICS will house Grades 2 to 4 at this new location.
