SPARK playspace in DUMBO closing

The Brooklyn Children’s Museum will be closing SPARK, its satellite space at One John Street in Brooklyn Bridge Park end of August. The CEO of the Brooklyn Children’s Museum has released the following statement in regards to the closure: “Earlier this year, Brooklyn Children’s Museum launched a strategic planning process focused on building new exhibits and expanding programming at our historic Crown Heights location. Out of that process, the Museum committed to consolidating its resources in Central Brooklyn. Over the next year, we look forward to sharing more about new exhibit developments in Crown Heights as they unfold.”

Nothing has been communicated about a new vendor for the space but it has to be community use according to the DUMBO BID. Stay tuned for details!
