Sunday Social on car-free Montague Street with free kids activities 9/19

Sunday Social, a free outdoor, family-friendly event returns to Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights, on Sunday, September 19 from 12 to 5pm following a one year hiatus due to the pandemic. The annual event, presented by the Montague Street Business Improvement District and the businesses on Montague Street, will feature an Entertainment Zone full of music and dance, more than 20 free activities in the Kids Zone curated by Brooklyn Bridge Parents, and specials and promotions at Montague Street businesses.

There will be puppet shows at 12.30 and 2.30 pm for ages 2 to 10 years at the corner of Clinton and Montague. No RSVP required, just walk up. Each show takes around 30 minutes.

Our kids zone will feature soccer and giant chess games, arts & crafts, science experiments, balloon twisters and Disney princess ELSA from Frozen kids can meet and take photos with! The Kidz Zone will be located from Clinton to Hicks Street on Montague.

The entertainment zone towards the Promenade will feature the following performances for all ages:

  • 12 pm: Wundabar Pilates Class with Marta. Bring your own mat
  • 12:45 pm: Hungry Marching Band performs.
  • 1 pm: Mr. Evan Bumblebee Jamboree. Rock and roll with Mr Evan
  • 2 pm: Pacemakers Dance Team. Get ready for a dance party with this dance troupe of 50 – 80-year-olds.
  • 3 – 5 pm: Asaf Enzur Jazz Ensemble. Breeze through the afternoon to the sounds of jazz
