Vote for the 2019 Participatory Budgeting projects

Voting for Participatory Budgeting 2019 will be held March 30th to April 7th in our Districts. This year everyone who lives in a district and is at least 11 years old or in 6th grade, can vote. You can vote for your five favorite projects! To find out, in which District you live, click here. To vote in person you can go to any of the sites listed below or you can vote online at pbnyc.org/vote starting March 30th at 12 am.

Participatory Budgeting is a program in which district residents participate directly in the city budgeting process by deciding how to spend over $1,500,000 per district in city funds. These funds can go towards capital projects in our parks, schools, or other infrastructure — or wherever else the residents of your district decide. Below are some of the projects up for vote directly affecting our neighborhoods.

District 33 projects in our neighborhood include:

  • Six new laptop carts for Dock Street School in DUMBO
  • Auditorium upgrade with new visual and audio equipment for PS 307 in Vinegar Hill
  • New bathrooms for PS 38 in Downtown Brooklyn
  • Add water and electrical supply to the Vinegar Hill Community Garden
