Williamsburg’s Domino Park now open

A new waterfront park featuring 6-acres of public open space is now open on the site of the former Domino Sugar refinery in Williamsburg, two stops away on the NYC ferry from Pier 1 in DUMBO.

Four new buildings are on the way as well as the renovation of the sugar factory building which is being converted into office space.

The playground itself is a sugar refinery in miniature—kids can climb up through a silo or stand inside a cabin, and there are plenty of elements like slides and climbing tunnels. Best for ages 4 years and up. Other components of the park are a waterfront esplanade, a dog run, a taco shack, a beach volley ball field and sprinklers.

Several cranes that previously occupied the site remain, and have been painted in the park’s signature turquoise.
