Whether you or your child is facing school-related stress, emotional overwhelm, family conflict, relationship challenges, or just want to reach the next level in any area of life…that’s our speciality. Childhood and teenage years come with many challenges, even for families who provide their children with love and support.
Many families come to us seeking support for school-related anxiety, social challenges, and behavioral issues in children and teens, including high-pressure academic, athletic and social environments.
My name is Amina Shaw-Moss LCAT,ATR-BC, and I’m a therapist currently accepting new clients for both in-person sessions at my DUMBO, Brooklyn office and virtual appointments. I work with individuals, couples, and adolescents (ages 11–17), offering support to those experiencing emotional dysregulation, heightened sensitivity, or feelings of numbness and disconnection. My approach helps clients become more attuned to their internal world, address trauma and deepen their connections with others.
As a licensed psychologist (fluent in English and Russian), I provide individualized support for children and teens while addressing challenges through an integrative, whole-child approach. I collaborate closely with families and other professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, schools, and medical providers in order to ensure coordinated care. In addition to working directly with young people, I offer parent-centered sessions and coaching to help caregivers feel informed, supported, and empowered. I also provide workshops and speaking engagements in schools, child care centers, workplaces, and other organizations.
