The Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) is a free, fun and easy event that engages bird watchers of all ages nationwide. The Brooklyn Bird Club will lead Prospect Park’s GBBC contingent in an effort to count birds and create a real-time snapshot of bird populations. Sightings made during the walk will be submitted to the GBBC website and are used by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology to learn more about how birds are doing and how to protect them and the environment we share.
