Your work in one sentence: I drive Vivvi’s growth within parent communities and with our employer partners with the end goal of making high quality childcare and early education more affordable and accessible for all families.
Your children: I have two daughters, Eloise (aka Weezy) is 4 months and Aster is 19 months (shoutout to my fellow #2Under2 parents!).
Where do your kids go to school: Vivvi Dumbo, of course! Weezy is in the Yellow Bee class and Aster in the Green Foxes.
Which neighborhood do you live in: Dumbo, in the Clocktower Building
What do you love about living in Brooklyn: I was raised in Manhattan but went to Brooklyn Tech High School which put me on the Brooklyn trajectory. I moved to Williamsburg in 2005 and only recently transitioned my family to Dumbo, which we’re loving. I love the neighborhood culture of Brooklyn and the proximity to Manhattan, but with a little more space to spread out.
More information about Vivvi Dumbo, one of your newer campuses: Vivvi Dumbo is located right across from Etsy on Prospect between Adams and Pearl. Aster and Weezy have attended Vivvi Dumbo since the day it opened its doors earlier this year. It’s so cool seeing the school community blossoming as more children are enrolling. Vivvi’s extended hours mean I can have them in a high quality preschool and still be able to work full time doing a job that I love. One of my favorite parts of Vivvi is Brightwheel, the apps where teachers keep me informed of what’s going on in the classroom all day with pictures and descriptions. I am so grateful to Weezy and Aster teachers: Ms. Sarah, Ms. Leti, Ms. Xia, Ms. Aaliyah, Ms. Rachel and Ms. Trish. This is your reminder to thank a teacher in your life, they make the world go round!
