Final Brooklyn Bridge Park section opening to the public

The final park section The Emily Warren Roebling Plaza under the Brooklyn Bridge in DUMBO has opened to the public. This brings the park as originally planned and broken ground on in 2008 to completion. This new flexible public plaza adds two acres of parkland and links the DUMBO section with Pier 1 to 6.

The new space pays tribute to the rich history of the Brooklyn Bridge and is named in honor of Emily Warren Roebling, known for her work ensuring the completion of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The plaza features lots of space to run and scoot around, you can even walk around the pillar of the Brooklyn Bridge. Some benches and trash cans have also been added.
