Outdoor festivals and street fairs in Brooklyn in 2025

The outdoor event season for families will run from end of April through Halloween, with festivals celebrating music, dance, art, and more, plus block parties and street fairs in our neighborhoods. Check back here as add more kid-friendly outdoor events!

Show Brooklyn Some Love Fest at Albee Square | Downtown Brooklyn

Brooklyn Org, Brooklyn Bridge Parents, Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and City Point will unite the community, leading cultural organizations, and nonprofits with the second free “Show Brooklyn Some Love Fest” at City Point in and Albee Square. Free flower bar to pick a flower bouquet for your mom, family dance party, music making, face painting, performances, treats for moms and much more! Best for families with kids ages 1 to 10.

Kite Festival | Brooklyn Bridge Park

Join us for a day of sky-high fun at our annual Kite Festival! This is the one day each year when kite flying is open to the public in the park—so don’t miss your chance to see the sky fill with color against the stunning Manhattan skyline. Enjoy hands-on crafts, classic lawn games, and engaging activities from local community partners. It’s the health event of the year for the community as Brooklyn Community Board 2 brings you Living Well, Living Strong: Free Health Fest and Fun Beats! Get your services, get tested, and get ready for a fun day in the park! There will be music, free healthy food, a prostate screening truck (free PSA blood test!, not invasive), a DJ, medical professionals on site with practical services, blood pressure testing, a panel discussion on maternal health, kids’ activities by Brooklyn Bride Parents, and so much more!

Join Brooklyn Bridge Parents and Mommy Poppins for our first ever Spring Fling during Open Streets on Montague on Sunday, May 18 from 12 to 4 pm with 25 free kids activities, dance party and puppet show. We will have games, arts & crafts, soccer, face painting, building activities and obstacle course, much more.

Fabulous Fifth Avenue Fair | Park Slope

This annual street fair on 5th Avenue in Park Slope stretches between Sterling and 12th Street and features tons of local food, shopping, art, music and family-friendly fun!

DanceAfrica Bazaar | Fort Greene

DanceAfrica’s bazaar returns, featuring more than 150 vendors from around the world, offering African, Caribbean, and African-American food, crafts, and fashion. Celebrate the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Africa and its diaspora—and see the streets surrounding BAM transformed into a global marketplace.

Brooklyn Memorial Day Parade | Bay Ridge

A Brooklyn tradition since 1867, the Brooklyn Memorial Day Parade is considered to be the oldest continuously run Memorial Day parade in a large city in the nation. Veterans, civic groups, schools, and marching bands parade along 3rd Avenue toward the Verrazzano Bridge ending with a service honoring Veterans.

DUMBO Drop | DUMBO

The annual DUMBO Drop including the free Brooklyn Bridge Parents Kids Zone will take place on Friday, May 30, from 4 to 7pm. Watch elephants parachute into Dumbo—for a good cause! The event supports DUMBO’s PS 307 and The Dock Street School. Get your tickets for the elephant spectacle here!

The Brooklyn Greek Festival | Brooklyn Heights

The Greek Orthodox Cathedral is hosting its annual Greek street fair from Monday, June 2 to Sunday, June 8, 2025 on car-free Schermerhorn Street. There will be traditional food, dancing, live music, kids activities and much more. Live music Thursday and Sunday, DJ on Friday and Saturday. Hours: Monday to Thursday 11 am to 9 pm, Friday and Saturday 11 am to 11 pm and Sunday 12 to 8 pm.

Photoville Festival’s Opening Weekend | Brooklyn Bridge Park

Photoville, the free, family-friendly festival, is gearing up for its 14th year! Photoville 2025 will kick off with a celebratory opening weekend on June 7 & 8, and will run through June 22, 2025. Photo Village, with its classic shipping containers will be returning to Emily Warren Roebling Plaza in Brooklyn Bridge Park – with additional open-air exhibitions in NYC Parks, and other NYC cultural institutions and public spaces through the five boroughs. The Festival will also feature artist-led walking tours, workshops, and opportunities for educators and students to connect with the Festival’s featured visual storytellers. Learn more here!
