Celebrate Bavarian culture this fall at Oktoberfest events across Brooklyn and lower Manhattan. We’ve rounded up local breweries, beer halls, and outdoor venues hosting Oktoberfest parties, featuring German beers in traditional steins, bratwurst and pretzels, live music, dancing, and steinholding contests. Most celebrations run from mid-September through late October, in keeping with Munich’s Oktoberfest tradition. Our guide includes dates, times, and ticket or RSVP details for each event.
Oktoberfest at Watermark – Pier 15 | South Street Seaport

An epic Oktoberfest celebration returns to the Watermark at Pier 15 this fall, open to all ages and running 7 days per week. The waterfront festival features authentic authentic German beer, brats and giant pretzels, games, live music, and epic views of the Brooklyn Bridge. The event is free to attend, RSVP in advance. Stone Street Oktoberfest | Financial District

Stone Street Oktoberfest 2025 takes over the Stone Street Historic District in Lower Manhattan with one of New York City’s largest Oktoberfest celebrations. The festival features German beer served in traditional steins, pretzels, wursts, international food options, live music, stein-holding contests, and free games including basketball, ping pong, giant Jenga, giant Connect, corn hole, and more. Entry is free, with food and drinks available for purchase from participating restaurants and bars along the street. Kids are welcome, and guests are allowed to bring their dogs, too, as long as they’re leashed.

Black Forest Brooklyn’s 12th annual Oktoberfest returns for six weekends from September 20 through October 25, at both the Fort Greene and Smith Street locations. Events include live German oompah music, authentic decorations, food and drink specials, and contests for mug holding and costumes. The kickoff parties on September 20 feature a traditional keg tapping ceremony. Kids are welcome, especially for the earlier parties, and both locations have outdoor seating available if you don’t want to be too close to the band. Big groups are also welcome!

Zum Schneider’s Oktoberfest is moving from the East Village to a new riverside location in Greenpoint, overlooking the Bushwick Inlet with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline. Oktoberfest celebrations will feature German beers in one-liter steins, plus traditional Bavarian food from bratwurst and giant pretzels to pork shank and vegetarian options. The celebration includes live music from Mösl Franzi and the JaJaJas, traditional Schuhplattler dance performances, and plenty of singing, clapping, and dancing. Guests can also enjoy games, a photo booth, and a rooftop biergarten with views of the Williamsburg Bridge and East River.

Oktoberfest at Radegast Hall | Williamsburg

Williamsburg’s German beer hall Radegast will host their annual Oktoberfest celebration on Saturdays from September 20 to October 4. Reservations are limited; email Radegast here to book your spot! The schedule will include a brass band kicking off at 3pm, a women’s mug holding competition at 4pm, the men’s competition at 5pm, the ceremonial keg tapping at 6pm, and a DJ dance party starting at 9pm. Radegast is overall a family-friendly establishment, with plenty of outdoor tables; however, Oktoberfest hours on Saturdays are quite loud and crowded, and not ideal for kids. Families should stop by on Fridays or Sunday afternoons for a German pretzel and beers for the grown-ups!

Oktoberfest at Eckhart Beer Co. | East Williamsburg
September 21–October 5 | Kegs are tapped at noon | Entry is free | All ages welcome
A new brewery and taproom has opened in East Williamsburg, taking inspiration from classic Bavarian beer halls. The 7,800-square-foot space pours Czech and German beers alongside a menu that includes dishes like spaetzle gratin and a malt-and-Marmite tart. Oktoberfest celebrations run from September 21 through October 5, with Festbier and Märzen on tap, plus brats, and more!

Oktoberfest at Gun Hill | Industry City

Gun Hill Publick House in Industry City is throwing a party for Oktoberfest! They’ll be tapping their Festbiers and will have live music by Muddy Wine, pretzels by Little Red Kitchen Bake Shop, and German-inspired food by Eat With Nana!

Brooktoberfest at Greenwood Park | Greenwood Heights

Join for Sound + Fury’s Oktoberfest, with seasonal beers on tap, pretzels and brats, corn hole, beer pong, and other games in the beirgarten, and a Bavarian-themed drag show and stein holding competition. Global School Brooklyn’s Tacoberfest | Governors Island

Global School Brooklyn (formerly known as German School Brooklyn) has hosted an annual Oktoberfest celebration for the past decade. Now with their rebranding as Global School Brooklyn and the addition of a new Spanish language track, they’ll be hosting Tacoberfest, bringing together German and Spanish cultures for a family-friendly celebration at Taco Vista on Governors Island. There will be a bier stein holding competition, face painting, music, games, plus food including tacos, German pretzels, brats, and more.
