Brooklyn Bridge Parents and the 5th Avenue BID partnered up for FAMChella, a FREE family-friendly block party inspired by the fun and flair of Coachella, that took place on Saturday, September 13th. We turned the car-free stretch of 5th Avenue from 68th to 81st Street into a lively festival zone filled with free kids activities including a bouncy house, arts & crafts, LEGO play, water fun, DIY bedazzled headbands, face painting and more!

Up next: Bay Ridge Halloween Festival on Fifth on Saturday, October 25. Free RSVP here. Celebrate the season with free kids activities, including a bouncy house, pumpkin decorating, “Trunk-or-Treat,” a puppet show, music, crafts, and so much more! The PuppetMobile will feature Astrid Lindgren’s Pippi Longstocking at 4 pm, presented in tandem with the 80th anniversary of the beloved book and in association with the Astrid Lindgren Foundation. Kids and families will experience the incredible adventures of quick-witted and super-strong Pippi as she overcomes bullies and burglars, all while fending off social conventions that seek to keep her in check. Enjoy delicious bites from local restaurants representing flavors from around the world and stroll through the festively decorated side streets of Bay Ridge.
