Taylor Swift Pop-Up: The Life of a Showgirl Experience | Chelsea

Spotify is celebrating the upcoming release of Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl with a three-day immersive fan experience in New York City from September 30 to October 2 (from 12-9pm daily). Called The Life of a Showgirl: A Spotify Experience, the event invites fans to explore hidden Easter eggs, take exclusive photos, and step into the world of the new album, though Swift herself will not appear. The pop-up is located at High Line Nine, at 507 W 27th Street. The experience will be first come, first serve. All ages welcome but a parent or guardian must accompany all guests under 16.

Teens 13+ are invited to join Greenlight bookseller Micah for pizza and discussion of The Gathering Dark: An Anthology of Folk Horror edited by Tori Bovalino. This collection of chilling stories explores haunted cemeteries, cursed towns, and lurking monsters.

The Maker Faire showcases the work of inventors, creators, and DIY enthusiasts of all ages. Stroll down the Atlantic Antic with your friends and check out Brooklyn’s largest street festival, with 1.5 miles of music, food, crafts, music, dancing, singing, from Fourth Avenue to Hicks Street. For younger kids, Playtopia between Hicks & Henry will have a cardboard maze, obstacle course, balloon twisting, arts & crafts, games, circus activities and more!

Small Fry Shuffleboard at The Royal Palms | Gowanus

On Sundays, The Royal Palms (usually 21+) hosts Small Fry Shuffleboard Club, opening its doors to kids 8 and up and their families. Come for free lessons, tons of shuffleboards, plus tiki-inspired mocktails, mini munchies, board games, a photo booth, college application enrichment opportunities, and a Shuffleboard-themed coloring station. Kids of all ages are welcome (with some fun activities available for little ones), but only 8 and up are allowed to rent court time. Free entry, and no experience necessary!

Family Day at Barcade | Williamsburg

Join for Barcade’s Family Day! From 12-5pm on the first Sunday of each month, bring the family out for some classic arcade games and pinball! As this location doesn’t have a kitchen, feel free to bring a lunch. They also have snacks available for purchase. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

ONE PIECE at Mercer Labs | Financial District

ONE PIECE x Mercer Labs is an immersive exhibition inspired by based on the hugely popular anime One Piece, specifically its Land of Wano story arc. Visitors will walk through vivid digital environments filled with samurai imagery, Japanese motifs, and dramatic battles as the characters Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew arrive in Wano. As part of Open House NY weekend, visit Ferox Ninja Park, with a ninja warrior obstacle courses, trampolines, parkour zones, a zip line, foam pit, and a dunk zone. The Cobble Hill Association is once again hosting their Halloween Window Painting event, where 75 local children create their own Halloween-themed painting on the windows of Court Street businesses. The event is open to children in grades 1-10 living in the neighborhood between and including Atlantic Avenue to Union Street, Smith Street to Columbia Street. Kids can register as an individual or team of 2, and registration is on a first-come basis.
