Our neighborhood guide highlights the best spots for candy and decorations in Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill, DUMBO, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, Park Slope, Bed-Stuy, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Sunset Park, and Bay Ridge. The city’s Trick-or-Streets initiative is back and bigger than ever, turning more than 137 streets and plazas across into car-free zones for Halloween fun. Check out their interactive map of all car-free streets on Halloween!
Brooklyn Heights
- Garden Place | Joralemon Street to State Street | One of Brooklyn’s most popular trick-or-treat spots in Brooklyn! The fun kick off around 4pm and run until dusk—or until the candy’s gone.
- Hicks Street | Joralemon Street to State Street | One block over, stop by FDNY Engine 224 for their always-impressive Halloween display.
- Willowtown Halloween | Joralemon Street from Furman Street to Hicks Street | Enter at Hicks for Willowtown’s Halloween, with a full street closure from 4–8pm. The cafe Nako will be serving treats and hot drinks (not coffee) until 7pm on Columbia Place.
- Grace Court Alley | This charming dead-end street off Hicks offers great trick-or-treating and an annual pumpkin display created by neighbors.

Cobble Hill
- Cobble Hill Halloween Parade | Music by the Brass Queens starts in Cobble Hill Park at 3:30pm, and the parade leaves from the Congress Street entrance at 4pm. After the parade, Congress Street will remain closed until 6pm some amazing trick-or-treating!

Carroll Gardens
- Clinton Street | A very popular street for trick or treating following the Cobble Hill Halloween Parade, travel Clinton Street from Pacific Street in Cobble Hill all the way into Carroll Gardens.

- Scotto Funeral Home | Court Street & First Place | Every Halloween, the staff Scotto Funeral Home (106 First Place) puts on an excellent Halloween display from 3:30 to 7pm and hands out candy.

- DUMBOWEEN | 50+ small businesses hand out candy on Halloween from 4-7pm (while supplies last.) Look for the pumpkin sign in the window of participating locations.

Boerum Hill

- BAMboo! | This family-friendly Halloween Party at BAM is happening from 4-7pm, with candy giveaways, carnival games, arts & crafts, kid-friendly movies, and more!
- Myrtle Monster Mash | Come to Myrtle Avenue Plaza for Myrtle Monster Mash, with DJ Des One, two dance performances, plus a Thriller Dance Mob led by dance instructor Mr. Chung and the PS20 dancers! There will be a dance battle, games, and sweet treats.

Park Slope
- Park Slope Halloween Parade | Neighborhood trick-or-treating begin at local stores along 7th and 5th Avenues from 4-6pm. The parade steps off at 7th Avenue and 14th Street at 6:30pm. It will travel from 14th Street to 3rd Street, then turn left to end at Washington Park. New this year: a group costume contest. Judging is at 7:20pm. From 7:15 to 8pm, enjoy music from the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.
- Boo!KCM Halloween Celebration | BKCM’s free, family-friendly Halloween garden party will take place from 4-6pm. There will be live music, of course, and plenty of candy. RSVP here!

There will also be free books, photo giveaways, live DJ music, and more at Marcy Plaza.
- Bed-Stuy Halloween Crawl | Over 250 homes in Bed-Stuy will be decked out and ready for trick-or-treaters! There’ll be a live DJ, a spooky-fun photo booth, treats, decorations, and more! Check here for the map, which will go live 10/31!

- McGhoulrick Halloween | Come to McGolrick Park at 3pm for their annual Halloween celebration. The park will be transformed with Halloween décor, there will be trick-or-treating stations with candy, treats, tarot, and more, plus a dance party, crafts, and a children’s costume parade! Monitor Street from Nassau Avenue to Driggs Avenue will be car-free from 4-8pm.
