Open spots for free Universal Pre-K at PS 307 in Vinegar Hill – register in July

PS 307 in Vinegar Hill still has open spots for Pre-K 2015. If your child was born in 2011 and you live in New York City, you can apply for a spot at the school. They run Pre-K classes with max. 18 students per class with a student/teacher ratio of 9:1 from Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 2.20 pm. The after school program Kids Orbit (same as PS 8) is offered until 6 pm daily.  Their Mandarin program already starts in Pre-K and they have a separate Pre-K play yard with tricycles and more . Breakfast and lunch are provided by the school, cots are there for children who still nap.

P.S. 307 is the recent recipient of a federal Magnet grant which turned the school into a science and technology-themed Magnet School for STEM Studies starting in the 2014-15 school year. A Magnet School is a ‘choice’ school which means that it is open to both zoned and non-zoned students.

You can still apply for free Universal Pre-K at PS 307 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in July from 9 am to 1 pm. You must bring your child, birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residence.
