Cuper Café is operated by Portuguese restaurateur Jorge Neves, who was exposed to food and wine preparation at age 10 when he began working on his grandfather’s vineyard in Portugal. A world traveler, he has designed and collaborated on several restaurants in the United States, Portugal, the Dominican Republic, and Brazil. Jorge has played a prominent role in the New York restaurant world for nearly two decades. A pioneer in West Soho, he opened PAO! in 1995, followed by Giorgione and Giorgione 508. He is excited about the challenge and opportunity to do something new and different at the Made in NY Media Center by IFP. Jorge resides in New York City with his family.
