DUMBO’s most whimsical annual tradition is back. The 2026 DUMBO Drop is officially set for Friday, May 29, bringing thousands of toy elephants parachuting down from the skies onto cobblestoned Washington Street, Brooklyn’s most iconic block.
Unlike previous years, there is no separate, free Kids Zone for 2026. Instead, all children’s entertainment and family activities, including our very own Brooklyn Bridge Parents setup has been moved inside the main ticketed zone on Washington Street. Your entry ticket will grant your family access to the ultimate pre-drop block party, packed with interactive fun. Ticket holders have access to Restaurant Row, spectacle photo opps and so much more. There will be a live musical set by The Jelly on the Main Stage, a flash mob dance party on the Life Time Stage, a photo booth with commemorative prints, Drop-themed crafting with Creatively Wild, a design-your-own-parachute station with Little Kid Big City, and LEGO building fun with us! To keep the little ones energized through all the activities, all attendees inside the ticketed zone will receive free popcorn powered by BASIS Independent Brooklyn. You can also expect giveaways and a taste of local flavor along Restaurant Row, with tastes priced at 7 dollars. Since the block party zone will be bustling with lots of families, it is highly recommended to leave the strollers and scooters at home if possible so you can navigate the cobblestones easily.
