New Restaurants, Bars, Bakeries and Cafes That Opened in Our Neighborhoods in the first half of June ’26

June has brought an exciting wave of culinary arrivals to Brooklyn. Highlights include Lalaon, a two-story Korean BBQ destination in Williamsburg and Fireboat, a seasonal floating bar on a retired FDNY fireboat docked at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6. In DUMBO, the Northern Mexican restaurant Titán has taken over the former Gran Eléctrica space to pair regional dishes with high-level agave mixology. Meanwhile, Carroll Gardens welcomes Trudie’s Tavern, a family-friendly spot replacing the beloved Buttermilk Channel, and Gowanus expands its summer footprint with Hidden Rivers Beer Garden along the canal.

Greenpoint and Williamsburg

Socceria | Greenpoint | Soccer fans and foodies have a new home base at 46 Norman Avenue. After keeping things casual, Socceria kicked off its regular operating hours on June 11, serving up a high-energy environment alongside great bites.

Lalaon | Williamsburg | Williamsburg gets a massive flavor upgrade at 22 North 6th Street with Lalaon, a sleek, two-story Korean BBQ destination right near the waterfront. Created by the acclaimed team behind Atti and Kuun, Brooklyn’s largest K-BBQ spot pairs premium house-aged meats with a stunning panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline.

Yellow Rose cafe  | Williamsburg | The East Village Tex-Mex favorite is opening at 524 Lorimer Street this Saturday, June 20th. Expect breakfast tacos, donuts, and coffee in the AM, switching over to frozen margs, tacos, and their famous Tex-Mex classics at night, all complete with outdoor seating.

Black Iris | Williamsburg | Mediterranean favorites meet a brand-new vibe at 128 Metropolitan Avenue. Black Iris’s newest location features a gorgeous ambient rooftop where you can enjoy fresh spreads, savory grilled dishes, and artisanal flatbreads alongside a curated wine list.

DUMBO & Brooklyn Heights

Titán | DUMBO | Taking over the former Gran Eléctrica space at 5 Front Street, this vibrant Northern Mexican restaurant is a collaboration between chef-partner Alan Delgado and legendary beverage director Ivy Mix. The star-studded spot matches regional dishes with high-level agave mixology.

Chaat Dog | DUMBO |  Housed inside Time Out Market at 55 Water Street, Chaat Dog puts an inventive, Desi-American spin on classic street food. Born from the chef’s Pakistani heritage and Chicago upbringing, this smoky all-beef dog is served on a ghee-toasted bun and loaded with house-made chutneys, pickled hot wax peppers, and a signature crunchy sev-and-boondi topping.

Fireboat | Brooklyn HeightsSeasonal through October. This is peak summer in Brooklyn. You can now hop aboard a beautifully retired FDNY fireboat docked right by Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6 for a floating bar experience. They are serving up Caribbean-inspired seafood bites like jerk chicken sandwiches, salt cod hushpuppies, BBQ prawn skewers, ceviche, and a must-try piña colada ice cream.

BoCoCa & Gowanus

Trudie’s Tavern | Carroll Gardens | Taking over the beloved former Buttermilk Channel space at 524 Court Street, the team behind Gertie is launching this welcoming neighborhood tavern. Expect a family-friendly vibe with comforting tavern classics,  a rotisserie chicken dinner, burgers, and a raw bar.

Hidden Rivers Beer Garden | Gowanus  | Tucked away along the canal at 291 Nevins Street, this massive new outdoor oasis is officially pouring. It’s an ideal casual hangout for local craft drafts and warm summer nights under the string lights.

Park Slope

Suyo Mio | Park Slope | Park Slope mornings just got sweeter at 560 5th Avenue. This cozy new daytime cafe is serving up specialty espresso drinks, local pastries, and a warm neighborhood atmosphere.

Sushi Counter | Park Slope |  An intimate and fast-casual approach to premium sushi located at 452 Dean Street, offering fresh, beautifully presented hand rolls and cut rolls right near Barclays Center.

Mellow and Melt | Park Slope | A delightful new neighborhood bakery at 412 5th Avenue focusing on fresh-baked breads, flaky morning pastries, and artisanal sweet treats.

Mazi | Park Slope |  Bringing bright, authentic Greek hospitality to the Slope at 82 6th Avenue, Mazi offers up traditional Mediterranean coastal dishes.

Coffeine | South Slope |  A sleek new coffee shop at 561 4th Avenue fueling the neighborhood with  espresso shots, cold brews, and quick grab-and-go morning bites.

Wolfpup Bar | Prospect Lefferts Gardens | Bringing a fresh, spirited energy to 447 Rogers Avenue, Wolfpup is a standout neighborhood cocktail bar featuring an exceptional cocktail lineup, easy-drinking pints, and an inclusive community spirit.

Clinton Hill

Porta Coffee | Clinton Hill | This charming neighborhood coffee outpost is now open at 596 Washington Avenue, crafting spectacular espresso and providing a lovely little nook to read or get some morning work done.

Bushwick

Jaywalker | Bushwick |  An inventive new cocktail destination hidden away at 573 Johnson Avenue in Bushwick, pairing complex, boundary-pushing mixology with an artistic, late-night industrial aesthetic.

A few local favorites wrapped up their runs this month:

  • Rose Marie | East Williamsburg | The neighborhood bid farewell to this local gem, which officially closed its doors on June 13th.

  • Republic Latin Fusion | Williamsburg | This vibrant multi-story spot known for its lively fusion dishes and cocktails has shuttered.

  • Yard Bar | Cobble Hill | This neighborhood favorite has unfortunately closed its doors on Smith Street.

  • Convivium Osteria | Park Slope | The romantic Italian restaurant and wine cellar appears to have shut down without notice.
