Community Board 2’s Executive Committee voted to support the new residential development at 200 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights and allow the existing building to be demolished. The four-story building that currently houses HSBC Bank will make way for a new 20-story residential building if approved by the Landmark Preservation Commission. All 121 apartments are slated to be market-rate rental units. The building will be zoned for PS 8 in Brooklyn Heights.
