AltSchool is coming to Union Square + Maker Day at AltSchool Brooklyn Heights (sponsored)

AltSchool, a network of private Pre-K through 8th grade schools, delivers a whole-child, personalized approach to education in two schools in Brooklyn Heights and the East Village. Educators prepare students for their future by developing self-awareness, nurturing their innate capabilities, and fostering collaboration skills. AltSchool Union Square (5th Avenue at 14th Street) will join the AltSchool New York community in fall 2017.

The Union Square campus will serve middle school students (grades 5th – 8th), while the Brooklyn Heights and East Village campuses will serve lower school students (grades Pre-K – 4th). AltSchool educators across all campuses engage students through a personalized experience that inspires students to take initiative and be involved in their own learning. A combination of core skills and project-based learning helps students apply what they’ve learned through real-world experiences.

All campuses are currently accepting applications for the 2017-2018 school year. Attend an upcoming Open House to learn more about AltSchool’s educational approach, tour the schools, and meet members of the education team. Register today.

AltSchool Maker Day 10/22: Join AltSchool for a fun-filled day of interactive workshops designed for parents and students to learn together as designers and inventors. You’ll be able to participate in activities created by Chess at Three and Sew Green Fashion Camp! Students (and parents) of all ages are welcome to attend. The event will take place on Saturday, October 22 from 11 am to 2 pm at AltSchool Brooklyn Heights at 212 Hicks Street. RSVPhttps://www.altschool.com/events/new_york
