Four public elementary school buildings in our neighborhoods closed until 1/4

PS 133 and PS 321 in Park Slope as well as PS 58 and the Brooklyn New School in Carroll Gardens have been closed after multiple positive COVID-19 cases have been detected in the schools. The Test and Trace investigation has deemed necessary that these buildings remain close for 14 days which means that all students at those schools will be in remote learning until Monday, January 4th.

The below schools in our neighborhoods have had singular COVID cases and had to shut down classrooms temporarily. Schools include:

  • PS 15 in Red Hook
  • PS 287 in Downtown Brooklyn
  • PS 32 in Carroll Gardens
  • PS 38 in Downtown Brooklyn
  • PS 9 in Prospect Heights

The map (12/14/20) shows all known cases of COVID-19 at New York City public schools in District 13 and 15. It is updated daily Sunday through Friday at 6 PM. This information was compiled by the DOE COVID Response Situation Room—a multi-agency partnership between the Department of Education, Department of Health and Mental Health, and the Test & Trace Corps.
