City Point and Brooklyn Bridge Parents will bring the party inside for families with kids from 1 to 10 with free activities. Free fun activities including bouncy house, Lego building, arts & crafts, unicorn slime, live music, Pokemon trading and games, boat building, soccer games and a summer camp fair at City Point in Downtown Brooklyn at 445 Albee Square West on Saturday, March 5 from 11 am to 3 pm. Every Saturday at 11:30am Story Time is being held at The Center for Fiction Bookstore, where each week they read from some of their favorite books for young people! Led by their booksellers, this is a free community event open to people of all ages but best suited for ages 2 to 6.
Family Workshop: Na’ye Perez | Downtown Brooklyn | March 12
Participants will take inspiration from What you Know Bout Love… by Na’ye Perez, currently on view in the hallway at BRIC House in Downtown Brooklyn. Together we will look closely at the work and share our thoughts on what we see and how we relate to the imagery. Then, participants will create their own richly textured, vibrant collages of our own communities using a variety of materials. Best for ages 5 to 12. Saturday, March 12 from 11 am to 2 pm.
