Plus, say hello to BCM’s live animals at Animal Encounters, which repeats twice, first from 3:00-3:20pm and again from 3:45-4:05 pm. It’s recommended that you reserve your tickets in advance online. Tweens and teens can stop by the Rugby Library for this special program. Maker Girls builds on every girl’s creativity, community, adventure, and leadership. Through projects, play, and games, we’ll build confidence, explore the arts and science, and create a community of friends. Maker Girls is designed for neurodiverse femme-identifying youth, though everyone is welcome to join. Make friends, have fun, and build confidence! This is an accessible event. Please do not wear perfume, cologne, or other scented products while using the space.

Governors Island Ice Sculpture Show | Governors Island

During Governors Island’s Ice Sculpture Show, ten artists will be paired with professional ice carvers from Okamoto Studio, with live carving taking place throughout the event. Visitors can also take part in ice-carving workshops, catch a DJ set by Miss Alicia with sound by Karlala Soundsystem, and explore additional programming. Makina Café will be open in Colonels Row, joined by food trucks serving winter-themed treats. This event is rescheduled from February.

Join the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Prospect Park Alliance, and Mixed Masala to celebrate Holi, the Hindu Festival of Colors, in Prospect Park! This celebration of the start of spring involves playing with colored powders (gulal) and setting bonfires (Holika Dahan). This joyful afternoon also features live music and storytelling performances, as well as the traditional Hindu artmaking of Rangoli.
